Planning treatment around a week in Alanya
The order of the days decides how a trip feels far more than the number of them does.

People usually arrive at the question the wrong way round. They pick the dates, then ask what can be fitted into them. It is worth turning that over: agree the plan first, and let the plan tell you what the trip needs to look like. A stay built around a plan tends to be calm; a plan squeezed into a stay tends not to be.
What follows is about how the pieces generally fit together. It is not a schedule, and nothing here says how long any treatment takes — that depends on what you are having done and on what an examination finds.
The plan comes first, the diary second
Before flights are booked, you want three things in writing: what is being proposed, roughly how many appointments it involves, and which of those appointments have to be separated rather than simply spread out. Some stages are separated for clinical reasons — something has to settle, or heal, or be made — and those gaps are not negotiable. Others are simply a matter of the diary.
Knowing which is which is what lets you book sensibly. It also tells you, honestly, whether what you want can be done in one trip at all.
Appointment days and the days between
Treatment days are rarely back to back from morning to evening. More often there is an appointment and then a stretch of the day that belongs to you. The days in between exist for a reason, and filling them with a long excursion is usually a poor trade — particularly straight after a longer appointment, when a quiet afternoon is worth more than a view.
The practical version of this: plan the first day after you arrive to be light, keep the day of a longer appointment free of anything you would be sorry to miss, and leave the last day before you fly with room in it in case a check is added.

Where the town actually fits
Alanya is a working coastal town rather than a resort strip, and that suits this kind of trip. The harbour, the Red Tower and the castle hill are close together and can be seen in an unhurried morning. The beaches run east and west of the centre, and the clinic sits on the coast road at Kestel, east of the middle of town, which puts a good deal of that within easy reach.
The Taurus mountains rise straight behind the coast, so a change of scene does not need a long drive. That matters more than it sounds: the best days between appointments are usually the short ones.
Getting there, and getting about
Two airports serve the town. Gazipaşa–Alanya (GZP) is the closer of the two; Antalya (AYT) is larger and generally has more connections, at the cost of a longer road transfer. Which one suits you is usually a question of where you are flying from and how much of the day you are prepared to spend travelling.
The clinic can arrange a hotel stay and private transfers between the hotel and the clinic. What is included in any particular case is confirmed before you travel, so ask for it in writing rather than assuming it.
The things worth agreeing in advance
- What is proposed, and what still depends on the examination when you arrive.
- How many appointments are expected, and which of them cannot be moved closer together.
- Whether the plan is expected to need more than one trip.
- What happens on the first day: examination and imaging, or treatment as well.
- Whether a hotel stay and transfers are being arranged, and what that covers.
- Who to contact while you are there, and who to contact once you are home.
A trip that has room in it is not a wasted trip. It is the one that goes to plan.
A note on expectations
Any plan made before an examination is provisional, and it should be described to you that way. If something changes once you are examined, you should hear what changed, what the options are and what each one involves before anything is done. That conversation is a normal part of treatment, not a sign that something has gone wrong.
Write to the clinic with photographs and a plain description of what you would like to change, and you will get a specific answer about what is realistic — including, where it applies, that a single stay is not the right way to do it.
This article is general information, not advice about your own teeth. Whether a treatment suits you depends on an individual clinical assessment.
Questions this raises
5 questions
Should I book flights before or after agreeing a plan?
After. The plan tells you how many appointments are expected and which of them have to be separated, and that is what makes a booking sensible. Booking first and asking afterwards is how people end up with a trip that does not fit what they need.
Which airport is better, Gazipaşa or Antalya?
Gazipaşa–Alanya (GZP) is closer to the town, so the road transfer is shorter. Antalya (AYT) is bigger and usually offers more connections. The right choice mostly depends on where you are flying from and how you would rather spend the travelling day.
Can the clinic arrange a hotel and transfers?
Hotel stays and private transfers between the hotel and the clinic can be arranged. What is included varies by case and is confirmed in advance, so ask for the detail in writing before you travel.
Where exactly is the clinic?
Dental Art Alanya is at Kestel Mah., Sahil Cad. No:21, 07400 Alanya / Antalya — on the coast road at Kestel, east of the centre of town.
What if my plan needs more than one trip?
Then it is better to know before the first one. Ask directly whether what you want is expected to need a second visit; a plan that is staged for clinical reasons should be described that way from the start.

Ask about your own teeth, not teeth in general.
Send photographs and a plain description of what you would like to change. You will hear what is realistic, what an examination would still have to confirm, and how a visit to Alanya could be planned.
